ETS participants write their career goals on UNLV mustaches

TRIO Educational Talent Search (ETS) staff hosted UNLV Day at Roy Martin Middle School. The purpose of the event was to disseminate information about UNLV during the school’s college week to motivate students to pursue postsecondary education. The staff set up tables that allowed students to easily ask questions about college, participate in fun activities, and learn about the benefits of the ETS program. Students were especially interested in ETS’ assistance with exam preparation, financial aid workshops, and tutoring opportunities to better prepare them for postsecondary education.

ETS staff collaborated with the UNLV early outreach admission counselors to help make the event a success. The students wrote their names and career goals on UNLV paper mustaches, which were then used as decoration around the school, and served as a reminder to encourage students to follow their dreams and attend college. ETS staff are looking forward to working with the next generation of UNLV Rebels.
