The UNLV Upward Bound Math & Science Center (UBMSC) wrapped up another successful spring semester. Three Saturday sessions per month, the UBMSC students are involved in college preparation activities, ranging from learning a foreign language to engaging in unique math and science experiments. Students also participate in SAT/ACT preparation workshops and explore a variety of careers during career day.

Saturday sessions have included staff visits from the UNLV Financial Aid & Scholarships Office and an appearance of world champion boxer, Zab Judah. Students participated in numerous activities and community service projects during the spring semester, such as the UNLV Festival of Communities, Las Vegas Martin Luther King, Jr. Day parade, Mountain West Basketball Tournament, Project 150’s prom closet, law day at the William S. Boyd School of Law, Relay for Life, and Rebel Preview. UBMSC is proud of the hard work and dedication put forth by all participants during the academic year!
