Gates Millennium Scholar is UNLV Bound

TRIO Educational Talent Search (ETS) participant, Josef-Vincent Tangpuz, is a senior at Valley High School and one of six Nevada students to be named a 2016 Gates Millennium Scholar. Nationally, fifty-four thousand students become finalists in the Gates Millennium Scholars Program, but only one thousand were chosen.

Upon notification, Josef proudly revealed the great news to his ETS counselor, Cristian Salas. Josef will graduate from Valley High School in June with a 4.5 GPA. In the fall, he will attend the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) to study computer engineering.
