The Mission of the Parents Educational Program is to educate,
guide and empower parents in their efforts to promote the
academic attainment of their children and themselves through
the strategies intended to help individuals navigate educational
systems and connect with a culture of success.

6-12 and also enrolled in any TRIO or GEAR UP program.

- Increased knowledge of the educational system.
- Assistance in the planning and pursuit of a college education
for their children and themselves.
- Increased involvement in schools that will enhance the
academic achievement of all students.
- Enhanced understanding of legal rights and responsibilities
within the educational system.
- Assistance with coordinating events that promote ways
in which their children can achieve goals.
- Help with decreasing obstacles such as money, language,
culture, daycare and transportation.
- Development
and coordination of all informative and counseling/advising
activities, including academic advising and course selection,
study skills, personal concerns, career exploration and
preparation, college admissions requirements to different
institutions of higher education, GED preparation, assistance
with Financial Aid application and college admissions process.

when dealing with school administration.
