Twelve UNLV Upward Bound participants and three CAEO staff members had the pleasure of meeting Congresswomen Berkley and Titus, Congressman Heller and educational aides for Senators Reid and Ensign to share their success stories of how the UNLV Upward Bound program has made a difference in their lives during the annual Upward Bound College Tour to Washington, D.C. Colleges and Universities visited include George Mason, Howard, Georgetown, and the University of Maryland, College Park. The college tour coincided with the Council for Opportunity in Education's annual Policy Seminar in D.C. March 21-25, 2009.
