| Annual
Fund |
The
Center’s Annual Fund is a way to encourage and
recognize community partner’s support. Annual Fund
gifts, which are primarily unrestricted (meaning the donor
allows The Center to determine how the money is used), assist
in helping The Center to meet our participants’ daily
needs.
Academic and support services ensure that every student
will have a realistic opportunity to succeed. The Center
plans to add and expand services such as tutoring, mentoring,
and social services for at-risk students beginning in preschool.
These services are designed to support the students through
their entire academic career, which makes the critical difference
for many disadvantaged students.

| Scholarship
Endowment Fund |
|
The Center’s aim is to increase the amount of scholarship
dollars available to students pursuing higher education. Scholarships
allow students who could not otherwise attend college a chance
to carve out a new life for themselves and their families through
higher education. A scholarship endowment will enable the students
to be recognized for outstanding achievement as well as aid
in their retention. In addition, scholarship recipients will
be required to maintain academic excellence, and continue program
participation. This project will allow the community to invest
in more students with less money.
The Center is a point of access for many students in the
Southern Nevada. Some students have financial needs that
exceed the amount of grant-in-aid, scholarships, and the
amount necessary to cover institutional expenses.
The key to our future lies in our students, and the amount
of support given to these young people is directly correlated
to the support they receive from the community.

| Building
Fund |
|
The
Center’s Building Funds were established to support
our K-5 initiative and the increasing number of staff required
to deliver comprehensive programming.
The charter school will provide at-risk students with college
preparatory curriculum that will encourage academic success
through applied learning and increase the number of at-risk
students to graduate from post-secondary institutions.
The administrative complex will be the nucleus of our operation,
housing existing and future programs, academic enrichment facilities
and executive and administrative staff.

| Underwriting |
|
While individual
gifts provide the majority of support for The Center, the strong
support we receive from local businesses, corporations, and
organizations reflects the high value that Southern Nevadans
place on our role in the community. Corporate sponsorship,
or underwriting, of special projects or events is also very
important in ensuring the success of programs. Underwriting
is as simple as contributing financial support for equipment,
logistics, supplies, or training.
Underwriting offers direct benefits to the contributor, including
tax deductions and advertising opportunities around the project
being sponsored. And through special acknowledgment, the
sponsoring corporation aligns itself with The Center’s
tradition of national recognition and community respect,
while reaching
a targeted, loyal, and influential audience that may be difficult
to reach through other forms of media.
