About

CAEO conducts research that assists with increasing the body of knowledge for working with low-income, first-generation and disadvantaged populations. Recent research studies include an exploration of the Clark County School District class of 2001 and the persistence of those who entered UNLV's freshman class of 2001. The study also looked at the performance of students with TRIO history versus their cohort without TRIO experience. Other studies include investigations into the beliefs of students and their propensity to request tutoring.
